We've been working hard on a new and improved blog that makes full use of MusicHype's Appreciation Engine and track record features. You've probably noticed the new design and layout, but here's a few other things we hope you'll like:

MusicHype Radio

All blog music, whether it be videos, audio or mp3s now get added to the music player for an uninterrupted stream. Just click the "Listen" button at the top of this blog post and all media on the page will play. Try this on any post, search or category.

For example:
- Our Best of 2011 pages now has a playlist which features a song off each album
- Click the player on this page to play all of the tracks in our Free Music category
- Use this search to play all music tagged with the words "top 5" from our weekly Staff Picks lists.
- Also, clicking the little target icon in a search result playlist will jump to the relevant blog entry on the page so you can find out more about any of the tracks.

The possibilities are endless! Give it a try with the media on this page.

Staff picks and featured posts

Pretty self explanatory: a selection of posts we think you should check out.

Post you may like

If you're signed in, we look at what artists you like (based on your social media activity) and recommend other posts about those artists.

Top fans and fan activity

If the post is about a specific artist we show all of the artist activity we've tracked you & other members doing. If you do lots of tweets, posts, listens & watches you'll be in the Top Fan area.

Artist social sites

If the post is about a specific artist (like this one about At The Drive-In), we'll automatically grab all of their social sites (Facebook, Twitter, Last.FM etc) for you to easily find out more about them.

Blog search

Again, pretty self explanatory, this should make browsing the blog a lot easier. You can search on the title, tags, the Artist name, anything really!

Lists three other posts similar to the one you're currently reading.

We hope you like the new MusicHype blog! If you'd like to know more about any of the new features just post a question in the comments below and we'll be happy to respond!
